Today's chemo marks the half way point - 6 treatments done, 6 to go! July 10 is last day (not counting another year of maintenance chemo/once a month). Long day (blood drawing, wait for results, wait for chemo from hospital pharmacy, administer chemo (that part's only an hour), then extra bonus today - blood transfusion.
I was anemic again (explains the shortness of breath which should now be gone). Total day at Smilow 6.5 hours (preceded by a quick visit to my GP doc for a blood pressure follow up exam). Easy day - nothing to do but relax on iPad and Kindle.
Then - Shiva call and then out to dinner at our favorite Italian Restaurant (Cucina Rustica in Oxford) where we can now just say "the usual" - real local "mom and pop" place - always good. Tired tonight (normal tired), but I know the chemo gives me insomnia - think it's an Ativan night :)
Treadmill and gym planned for tomorrow morning.
