During my recovery from my first cancer diagnosis, I attended a philanthropy event sponsored by the Jewish Federation of New Haven. The program's speaker was the founder of an organization I had never heard of named, Sharsheret. That night, I was inspired to spread the word about Sharsheret, a Jewish organization that reaches out to women and families with breast and ovarian cancer.
Given my public relations background, I reached out to the New Haven Register reporter who writes about cancer and she wrote this story which will appear in tomorrow's paper. She beautifully captured the essence of Sharsheret and details about the Sharsheret event I have been working on.
